General Policies

For Unforeseen events (Vendor Delivers, Tornado, Accident, Flooding, etc.) for Wanda Lee Catering the Customer can not hold the catering company nor its employees liable for any problems that this might cause.

Payment and Deposits

Please make checks payable to Wanda Lee Catering.  We require a $200 deposit which is non-refundable for all events.  We require ½ of the payment one month prior to the event and payment in full the week of your event.  We accept cash, checks, credit cards and money orders.  If we receive a payment for services via check and that payment bounces with our bank, you, the client, will responsible for paying the $30.00 check fee.

Additional Costs and Fees

Full- Set up and Delivery Fees – If your event requires a full set up (using our table linens, chafing dishes and serving pieces) there will be an additional $75 fee.

If your event is delivery only, with no set-up, there is only a $25.00 delivery fee.  All table service, serving pieces and packaging will be disposable.

Some venues charge a service fee – this charge will be applied to your invoice.

Wedding Cake Cutting Fee – $35.00

Guarantees

Wanda Lee Catering must be notified of the exact number for which you wish to guarantee services for no later than five working days before the event.  In the event a guarantee service is not received, the original estimated attendance count will be prepared and charged.  The charge for additional person set up at the patron’s request will be made and patron agrees to pay at the Caterer’s established rate of $25.00 per person.

Taxes

All applicable state and local taxes will be imposed and paid by the client.  If the client’s organization is tax exempt, the caterer must receive a certificate reflecting the client’s status no later than five working days before the event. 

Cancellations

 If the client cancels a contracted food and beverage event, the caterer can retain all or a portion of the retainer fee as liquidation damages.

Leftover Food

When offsite for a long period of time, we have extended food temperatures and holding conditions to a point that we will not release leftover food to you or your guests.  This policy is required by Ingham County Health Department. 

Gratuity

To help offset any additional costs incurred during the planning, packaging and preparation of the food we charge a 18% gratuity fee.  Thank you.
